Summary

Two studies, one performed by researchers at the U.S. National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences and another performed in Europe and published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, found that individuals with high VOC exposure experience a 4% decrease in lung function and regular use of cleaning sprays was linked to a 30 percent to 50 percent increased risk of asthma.
