The ionator HOM™ is a great general-purpose cleaner. It can be used to clean soils, stains, dirt, dust, oils and more. The Toxics Use Reduction Institute (TURI) at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, tested Activeion technology against some of the leading chemical cleaners. The results – Activeion cleans as well as, or in some cases, better than, the general-purpose and specialized chemical cleaners selected for testing.

Kills germs

When used as directed, the ionator HOM™ kills H1N1 and more than 99.9%* of most harmful bacteria (E. coli, VRE, Salmonella, Pseudomonas, Staph, Listeria, and E. coli 0157:H7) on nonporous hard surfaces with a 6-second spray. (*when used as directed)

Activeion products do not carry a chemical-related health warning label. Independent laboratories have conducted extensive testing on the technology to confirm that a chemical-related health warning label is not needed. This testing is conducted to international and US standards.

What is the ionator HOM™?

The ionator HOM™ is a handheld appliance that is a great multi-surface cleaner and also kills more than 99.9% of most harmful bacteria and the H1N1 virus (*when used as directed). It does this by ionizing tap water through physics and electrical engineering. It does not use any cleaning chemicals and therefore does not leave behind any chemical residue. The ionator HOM™ is designed for the residential user.

With just a faucet and the ionator HOM™, people now have an abundant supply of effective cleaner without chemicals.

How do I use the ionator HOM™?

First, plug the unit into a regular wall outlet to charge the built-in rechargeable battery. Next, fill the reservoir with plain tap water and squeeze the trigger to spray the surface to be cleaned. Finally, wipe the surface dry with a clean cloth.

Do not use distilled or purified water. The technology requires some mineral content in the water to properly ionize the water. It does not matter the hardness or softness of the water. The technology has the "smarts" to sense the mineral content of the water and will adjust appropriately to give you consistent cleaning and sanitizing performance.

A green glow in the reservoir as you squeeze the trigger indicates that the device is working properly. A red glow in the reservoir during use indicates one of two things: Either the battery needs to be recharged, or the device is not ionizing the water properly. If the battery is fully charged and the red light turns on, please contact Activeion customer support for help.

How is ionized water different than cleaning with regular water?

It's different because the water dispersed from the ionator HOM™ isn't "just water". The water is charged and transformed into ionized water that attracts dirt like a magnet. The result is cleaning power equal to or greater than general-purpose cleaners.

What powers the ionator HOM™?

The ionator HOM™ is powered by built-in rechargeable batteries. The batteries are designed to last 5+ years in a residential application. For the typical residential user, the ionator HOM™ will be capable of generating ionized water for more than 2 weeks between charging the batteries. The ionator HOM™ comes with a 1-year limited warranty.

Is the water dispensed from the ionator HOM™ harmful?

No. Independent labs have conducted EPA-required toxicology tests for skin, eyes and ingestion. The testing shows that the Activeion™ technology is 100 percent non-irritating and safe. In fact, the ionator HOM™ does not require a chemical-related health warning label.

What is the expected life of the ionator HOM™?

The ionator HOM™ is designed for a 5-year life for typical residential use.
