How It Works
The science behind the technology
There are two key scientific concepts driving the technology in the Activeion™ products, electrolysis and electroporation.
Charge
When the trigger is pressed, the water flows through a water cell that applies a slight electrical charge to the tap water;
Transform
The charged water passes through an ion exchange membrane, where the ionized water is separated into an oxygenated mixture of positively and negatively electrically charged nano-bubbles;
Clean
When applied directly to a surface, the ionized water helps break apart and lift the dirt from the surface like a magnet, enabling it to be wiped away;
Kill Germs
Before the water exits the nozzle, a slight electric field is applied, allowing the water to carry a low-level electric field to the surface where the germs may be living. When used as directed, this low-level electric field kills more than 99.9% of harmful germs.
Steps 1-3 are achieved through Electrolysis. Step 4 is achieved through Electroporation.

Chemistry vs. Physics
Most cleaners use chemicals to bond with the chemical properties of dirt. Activeion is based on physics and uses an electrical charge to break down dirt quicker, enabling it to be lifted off of surfaces easier.
Zap Germs Dead
The charge added to your tap water ruptures the cell membrane of germs and bacteria. Activeion kills more than 99.9%* of most harmful bacteria (E. coli, VRE, Salmonella, MRSA, Pseudomonas, Staph, Listeria and E. coli 0157:H7) and the H1N1 virus (*when used as directed).
